We’re nearly there! The road to self-publishing has been quite fraught, especially in the last few weeks as everything was finalised. But I can share with you today the cover and blurb for Rewind and tell you about the blog tour that kicks off tomorrow!
The Blurb
When DI Bernie Noel goes back to work after maternity leave, she doesn’t expect to find a crashed car with a dead driver on her journey in. But a gruesome discovery in the boot of the car turns a road traffic accident into something more sinister and personal for the detective. It isn’t long before Bernie is forced to rewind six years and confront her failed covert operation in London. But as she relives that failure, can she survive the present danger too?
This story has lived inside my head for a very long time and I’m so glad to finally be telling it. The story is set in two locations – Wiltshire and Peckham – and moves between two time frames. This is something new for me and I think it’s worked! It’s still from Bernie’s viewpoint though. But what about the cover I hear you cry! Well, we’ve gone into the past for the cover and Bernie has a face…

I hope you like it! I think my cover designer, Michael Watermeyer, has done a great job and it captures a younger and more vulnerable Bernie. Rewind will be published on Tuesday 9th July. The blog tour starts tomorrow though and I’m so grateful to the wonderful bloggers who said yes to taking part. Thank you Mags, Yvonne, Susan, Jo, Mandie/Jen, Karen and Jacob. And I’m also very grateful to my daughter for creating the blog tour banner. So, not long to go! Rewind will be up on Amazon shortly so keep checking here to find out more.
